REMOS Delivers First Production Line GXiS
The German based aircraft manufacturer, REMOS AG, has delivered the first production line copy of a GXiS that conforms to German Ultralight standards. The aircraft, registered as D-MIDA, expands the fleet of a flight school operation known as UTC, based in Schoenberg (EDPK), Bavaria.
Werner Frister, owner of the UTC flight school, considers the GXiS a significant upgrade to the existing REMOS fleet in his school and said: “The GXiS, with the fuel injected Rotax 912 iS Sport engine, an advanced avionics suite and the SMARTstart System, is ideal for familiarizing students with the latest technologies. Basic training is still being done with a carbureted version. Later, students can graduate to the fuel-injected engine and advanced avionics.” The students and the flight school profit from the efficient engine which consumes about 10 percent less fuel than the carbureted version of the engine.
D-MIDA is registered in the ultralight category and is the first serial production GXiS. The aircraft is equipped with instruments by Dynon and Flymap. The aircraft also features SMARTstart on board, a system that makes it possible to start the engine by simply pushing a button on the panel.
The prototype of the GXiS was first flown in May, 2016, and the new model is expected to meet European and U.S. LSA standards in the near future.
German Rotax distributor, Franz Aircraft Engines GmbH based in Schechen, Bavaria, has supported the integration of the 912 iS Sport into the REMOS GXiS. The owners of the company, Aida and Eduard Franz, along with their colleague, Arno Schroeder, visited the REMOS factory in Pasewalk for the handover to UTC. The team at Franz Aircraft Engines GmbH plans to rent the GXiS for some extended flights over the Alps.

REMOS liefert erste serienkonforme GXiS aus

REMOS hat die erste GXiS nach Serienstandard ausgeliefert. Das Flugzeug mit dem UL-Kennzeichen D-MIDA verstärkt die Flotte der Flugschule UTC am Flugplatz Schönberg (EDPK).

Für den Inhaber der Flugschule, Werner Frister, ist die D-MIDA eine wertvolle Ergänzung seiner REMOS-Flotte: „Mit dem Einspritzermotor Rotax 912 iS Sport, der Top-Avionik und dem REMOS-eigenen SMARTstart-System ist die GXiS das ideale Flugzeug, um fortgeschrittene Schüler mit neuen Systemen vertraut zu machen. Die Grundausbildung erfolgt wie gewohnt mit dem Vergasermotor, später können Schüler den Einspritzer kennenlernen.“ Zudem profitieren Flugschule und Schüler gleichermaßen vom rund zehn Prozent niedrigeren Benzinverbrauch des Rotax 912 iS Sport im Vergleich zur Vergaserversion des Motors.

Die D-MIDA ist die erste serienkonforme GXiS. Das Glascockpit ist mit Instrumenten von Dynon und Flymap ausgestattet. Ebenfalls an Bord ist SMARTstart, ein System, das den Motorstart auf einen Knopfdruck reduziert.

Der Prototyp startete im Mai 2016 zum Erstflug. In naher Zukunft wird es die GXiS auch als europäisches und US-amerikanisches LSA geben.

Unterstützt wurde die Integration des neuen Motors in die REMOS GXiS vom deutschen Rotax-Partner, der Firma Franz Aircraft Engines GmbH aus dem bayerischen Schechen. Die Inhaber Aida und Eduard Franz sowie Mitarbeiter Arno Schröder waren bei der Übergabe der GXiS in Pasewalk dabei. Die Firma Franz wird die D-MIDA künftig regelmäßig für ausgiebige Ausflüge in die Alpen chartern.

REMOS at AERO 2017!

REMOS will exhibit at AERO. The 25th edition of Europe’s leading General Aviation trade show will take place from April, 5th to 8th, in Friedrichshafen, Germany. In hall B3, booth 107, we are going to showcase our latest model, the REMOS GXiS with the fuel injected Rotax 912 iS Sport and a second to none avionics suite. The ultralight certification for the composite high-wing aircraft is expected to be issued right in time for the exhibition. Certification as a European LSA is also on a fast track. Since the GXiS had its premiere at AERO 2016, the REMOS team has extensively tested the GXiS. All flights ran smoothly: in hot summer or extremely cold winter weather, the prototype with the call sign D-EPDC has proven itself in maneuvers very well. In addition, we will showcase the REMOS GXNXT with the well-proven Rotax 912 S at AERO.

REMOS auf der AERO 2017!

REMOS kommt auch in diesem Jahr wieder zur AERO. Die 25. Auflage von Europas führender Messe für die Allgemeine Luftfahrt findet vom 5. bis zum 8. April 2017 in Friedrichshafen statt. In Halle B3, Stand 107, präsentieren wir unser jüngstes Familienmitglied, die REMOS GXiS mit dem Einspritzermotor Rotax 912 iS Sport und einem Top-Avionikpaket. Bis zur Messe erwarten wir die UL-Zulassung, außerdem ist die Zertifizierung als europäisches LSA ist inzwischen weit fortgeschritten. Seit der Premiere der GXiS auf der AERO im April 2016 haben wir die GXiS ausgiebig getestet. Dabei lief alles reibungslos: Ob bei sommerlicher Hitze oder extremer Kälte, der Prototyp mit der Kennung D-EPDC hat sich im rauen Test-Alltag bewährt. Ebenfalls im AERO-Gepäck haben wir die REMOS GXNXT mit dem bewährten Rotax 912 S unter der Cowling.

A new REMOS GXClub is airborne

VFR conditions between Pasewalk and Berlin: Andreas Behrendt took the opportunity to pick up his factory-new REMOS GXClub in our facility in Pasewalk. Juergen Rehlaender (left), Manager Sales, handed over the keys to Andreas Behrendt. Right after that Andreas Behrendt took of with D-MOGX for an unforgettable flight over the winter scenery of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania back home. Andreas Behrendt owns the company “AB Charterflug” in Strausberg (EDAY) – that’s where D-MOGX will be based from now on.

Eine neue REMOS GXClub hebt ab
Fliegbares Wetter zwischen Pasewalk und Berlin: Für Andreas Behrendt war dies die perfekte Gelegenheit, trotz klirrender Kälte seine neue REMOS GXClub in Empfang zu nehmen. Nach der Übergabe der Schlüssel durch Vertriebsleiter Jürgen Rehländer (links) startete Andreas Behrendt mit seiner D-MOGX zu einem unvergesslichen Flug über die Winterlandschaft Mecklenburg-Vorpommerns in Richtung Heimat. Andreas Behrendt ist Inhaber der Firma AB Charterflug und wird die D-MOGX am Flugplatz Strausberg (EDAY) stationieren.

REMOS wünscht allen Frohe Weihnachten!
Am Montag, 12. Dezember, sind unsere beiden Ingenieure Christian Majunke und Paul Foltz in Pasewalk zu einem ganz besonderen Flug gestartet: Mit unserer REMOS GXiS, Kennzeichen D-EPDC, schrieben sie die Worte „Merry Xmas“ an den Himmel über Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Bei flightradar24.com lässt sich der Flug noch einige Tage online nachverfolgen.

REMOS wishes Merry Xmas to everyone!
On Monday, December, 12th, our engineers Paul Foltz and Christian Majunke took off for a very special flight from Pasewalk: They wrote the words “Merry Xmas” to the sky over Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania with our REMOS GXiS. You can see their flight on flightradar24.com in the following days.

Flying Magazine visits REMOS 
Last week we had another guest from the U.S.: Robert P. Mark came to our facility in Pasewalk where he had the chance to fly our REMOS GXiS. Rob is senior editor of Flying Magazine, he runs the Jetwhine Blog and is one of the publishers of the weekly Airplane Geeks Podcast. Normally Rob pilots larger airplanes up to Business Jets – he is not that much used to Light Sport Aircraft like the REMOS. Nevertheless he had much fun flying our GXiS. He likes the flawless way the plane flies, he was impressed by the SMARTstart system and especially loves the avionics suite with instruments from Dynon and Garmin. We also showed him how easy the wing folding procedure is. We’re looking forward to reading his article in one of the next issues of Flying Magazine. 

Flying Magazine zu Besuch bei REMOS
Letzte Woche hatten wir Besuch aus den USA: Robert P. Mark war zu Besuch in Pasewalk, wo er die Gelegenheit nutzte, unsere REMOS GXiS zu fliegen. Rob ist Redakteur beim Flying Magazine, betreibt den Jetwhine-Blog und gehört zum Team des wöchentlich erscheinenden Airplane-Geeks-Podcasts. Normalerweise fliegt Rob eher größere Flugzeuge bis hin zu Business Jets – mit der LSA-Klasse hat er sonst weniger zu tun. Trotzdem hatte Rob großen Spaß daran, die REMOS ausführen zu dürfen: Er lobte das problemlose Flugverhalten unserer Neuen, zeigte sich von SMARTstart beeindruckt und lobte die Avionik von Dynon und Garmin. Außerdem haben wir ihm gezeigt, wie einfach das Anklappen der Flügel ist. Wir freuen uns auf seinen Bericht in einer der nächsten Ausgaben von Flying Magazine.

A New REMOS Takes Off to the Sky

Another REMOS GXNXT is airborne! Christian Majunke, CTO of REMOS, just handed over the keys for serial number 448 to Cheng Yeng and Prof. Dr. Juergen Pannicke from German Light Aircraft, our dealer for China and Taiwan. This aircraft will be shipped to a customer in Taiwan.

Eine neue REMOS hebt ab 

Eine weitere REMOS GXNXT ist auf dem Weg zu ihrem neuen Besitzer. Christian Majunke, CTO der REMOS AG, hat die Schlüssel für die Werknummer 448 an Cheng Yeng und Prof. Dr. Jürgen Pannicke von German Light Aircraft, unserem Händler für China and Taiwan, übergeben. Das Flugzeug wird in Kürze zu einem Kunden nach Taiwan verschifft.

After the EAA AirVenture in summer we flew from Oshkosh down to Chicago with our REMOS GXiS and a REMOS GXnXES. It was fun as you can see in our video.

AOPA Pilot Magazine visits REMOS 

This week we had a guest from the USA. Jill W. Tallman, senior editor at AOPA, came to our facility in Pasewalk where she flew the REMOS GXiS and walked through our production line. Jill has experienced the good flight characteristics of the GXiS, has learned more about the avionics suite and has found out how easy it is to start-up the Rotax 912 iS with SMARTstart – it’s just one push to a button. We’re looking forward to reading her report soon in one of the upcoming issues of AOPA Pilot magazine.

Žygimantas Valiūnas ist neuer REMOS-Händler für die baltischen Staaten Estland, Lettland und Litauen. Als Kunde ist der Unternehmer und Pilot REMOS schon lange treu, nun wird er seine Erfahrung im Vertrieb von Flugzeugen für uns einsetzen. Žygimantas Valiūnas ist in der Nähe der litauischen Hauptstadt Vilnius beheimatet. Mit Blick auf die Zusammenarbeit mit REMOS stellt sich seine Firma derzeit neu auf – dabei wird auch der Internetauftritt überarbeitet. Žygimantas Valiūnas has become REMOS dealer for the Baltic states Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The entrepreneur und pilot has been a REMOS customer for years. New REMOS Dealer: SimplyFLY Uses New Approach to Recruiting Students

REMOS has a new dealer in the United States. SimplyFLY supports the German-based aircraft manufacturer with an innovative approach of how to bring people into aviation. The company is based at Aurora airport, just a 40-minutes car ride away from Chicago, IL. 

When David Spano and Tony Sabos set up SimplyFLY six years ago, their goal was to provide flight training under the banner of Power Sports. They wanted to focus on growing sport aviation by targeting the general public. They do this successfully by taking a REMOS mockup aircraft to local fairs, festivals and other events. There, they sell Discovery Flights: a half hour instructional flight for $75. Around 15 percent of those who make the flight go on to become Sport Pilots or Private Pilots. All of the training is done in REMOS aircraft. SimplyFLY has four of them, plus a new dealer demo aircraft for sales.

The key     to their success is their new approach to engaging the public. SimplyFLY works to correct false perceptions and present flying as an attainable sport. They don’t “sell” aviation as a mode of transportation, they sell fun!  SimplyFLY is based at Aurora Municipal Airport (KARR), just west of Chicago. They offer the Sport Pilot certificate for $6,400 and the Private Pilot for $9,600. That includes 40 hours of flying for Sport Pilot training and 60 hours for the Private, along with ground school. Almost all students pass their check ride in less than the allotted time.
 “Once they start on a certificate, we encourage them to fly at least twice a week,” said David Spano. “We push them to complete their written before they take their cross country flights. We like to give credit to the forgiving flight characteristics of the REMOS. It’s an ideal trainer that people become comfortable with very quickly. It has worked out so well for our flight training operations that we moved up to become dealers so we can begin to offer sales and service.”
The second REMOS dealer in North America, SimplyFLY represents an expansion consistent with the manufacturer’s desire to develop a global presence for their LSA. SimplyFLY has their own plans to expand to other major metropolitan areas.

Neuer REMOS-Händler SimplyFLY mit innovativem Konzept

REMOS hat einen weiteren Händler in den USA. Mit einem pfiffigen Konzept schafft es SimplyFLY, Menschen fürs Fliegen zu begeistern, die bisher noch nie im Cockpit gesessen haben. Die Flugschule liegt zentral im Großraum Chicago, IL, am Flugplatz Aurora.
Als David Spano und Tony J. Sabos vor sechs Jahren ihre Flugschule gründeten, haben sie die Luftfahrt von Anfang an als Teil einer wirtschaftlich starken Freizeitsportindustrie gesehen. Unter dem Schlagwort „Power Sports“ sehen die beiden Unternehmer das Flugzeug als Sportgerät auf Augenhöhe mit PS-starken Booten, Snowmobilen und Motorrädern. Ihre Idee: Luftfahrt fasziniert und bietet Wachstumspotenzial – wenn es gelingt, die Menschen dafür zu begeistern. SimplyFLY verkauft deshalb den puren Spaß am Fliegen. 
Das perfekte Werkzeug dafür ist die REMOS. Vier Flugzeuge des Herstellers aus Mecklenburg-Vorpommern umfasst die Flotte bei SimplyFLY, dazu gesellt sich seit einigen Wochen noch eine werksneue REMOS GXnNXES (in Europa bekannt als GXNXT) als Vorführflugzeug. 
Um neue Kunden zu erreichen, präsentieren David Spano und Tony J. Sabos ihr Angebot beispielsweise in Einkaufszentren und auf Freizeitmessen abseits der Luftfahrtindustrie. Mit dabei ist stets ein Mock-Up, das einer echten REMOS zum Verwechseln ähnlich sieht und Interessenten die Möglichkeit bietet, in einem voll ausgestatteten Cockpit Platz zu nehmen. Verkauft werden zunächst Erlebnisflüge ab Aurora. 75 US-Dollar kostet eine halbe Stunde im Luftraum von Chicago mit Fluglehrer – 15 Prozent der Kunden beginnen nach diesem Erlebnis mit dem Erwerb ihrer Fluglizenz. 
Dafür bietet SimplyFLY Komplettpakete mit transparenten Kosten und einem zeitlich gut organisierten Programm. „Unsere Schüler fliegen mindestens zweimal pro Woche,” sagt David Spano. „Erst sollen sie die Theorie machen, dann geht es zum Überlandflug. Wir schätzen dabei die Flugeigenschaften der REMOS. Sie ist ein idealer Trainer, mit dem die Schüler schnell zurechtkommen. Das Muster hat sich im Schulbetrieb so gut bewährt, dass wir beschlossen haben, jetzt auch Händler und Servicepartner von REMOS zu werden.“ 
SimplyFLY ist der zweite REMOS-Partner in Nordamerika. Beide Unternehmen verfolgen dabei das gleiche Ziel und möchten weiter expandieren: Der Flugzeughersteller aus Deutschland möchte sich unter anderem in den USA breiter aufstellen, während SimplyFLY Niederlassungen in weiteren Teilen des Landes eröffnen möchte.

Sechs REMOS landen in Berlin-Tegel

Six REMOS visit Berlin-Tegel  international airport 

Es muss nicht immer die ganz große Reise sein, um den eigenen fliegerischen Horizont zu erweitern. Zwölf UL-Besatzungen haben sich in Formation auf den kurzen Weg von Saarmund (EDCS) zum internationalen Verkehrsflughafen Berlin-Tegel (TXL) gemacht. Mit von der Partie waren sechs REMOS-Flugzeuge. REMOS GXiS comes to “Mustang meets Mustang” 

Starke Autos, historische Flugzeuge, grandiose Stimmung – und unsere REMOS GXiS mittendrin! Am Samstag, 3. September, waren wir mit unserem neuesten Modell am Flugplatz Neubrandenburg bei "Mustang meets Mustang" dabei. Das Treffen historischer Flugzeuge und amerikanischer Autos war für uns eine willkommene Gelegenheit, um unsere GXiS einmal dort zu präsentieren, wo sich nicht nur Piloten treffen. Mit ihrem Rotax-Einspritzmotor, ihrer Top-Avionik und ihrer exzellenten Verarbeitung kam sie bei Fliegern und Nicht-Piloten gleichermaßen gut an. Manch ein Fan amerikanischer Autos dürfte jetzt jedenfalls darüber nachdenken, selbst den Flugschein zu machen, um in nicht allzu ferner Zukunft vielleicht selbst eine REMOS zu fliegen. 

Muscle cars made in the U.S., classic planes and a great atmosphere – and our REMOS GXiS was right in the middle of it! On Saturday, September 3rd, we took part in "Mustang meets Mustang" at Neubrandenburg airport. This meeting of historic aircraft and classic U.S. cars was a perfect opportunity to showcase our latest model not only to pilots, but also to people who do not fly. Especially the fans of American muscle cars loved the REMOS GXiS thanks to its fuel injected engine, its state-of-the-art avionics suite and its high built quality. Some of the people we met in Neubrandenburg now consider making their pilot’s certificate in order to fly a REMOS themselves.

Oshkosh 2016: GXiS came to the U.S. and we have a new dealer

We joined the world’s greatest Fly-in to show our new REMOS GXiS to you! Besides we now have a new dealer. Read more what has happened during a very special week of aviation. 

First of all: REMOS has a new dealer in the U.S.! David Spano and Tony Sabos from SimplyFLY in Aurora (KARR), close to Chicago, will support REMOS from now on. They operate their flight school with a REMOS fleet and are very happy with these aircraft. We will tell you more about those enthusiastic guys and their extraordinary approach to aviation in the following days – stay tuned! 

SimplyFLY’s home base was where our Oshkosh-adventure began: We shipped the prototype of the REMOS GXiS, call sign D-EPDC, and a factory new REMOS GXNXT, or GXnXES as it is called in the US, to Aurora, call sign N434GX. After all the paperwork was completed, we flew the two planes up to KOSH in formation on Friday before the Air Venture. 

On Sunday, we took the opportunity to show our newest version of the REMOS, the GXiS, to several international aviation journalists, demonstrating the aircraft in full both on the ground and in flight by flying out of KOSH and back in via the Ripon-Fisk-Approach. 

Among them was Dan Johnson, a well-known LSA-specialist. In his report, which he published online on bydanjohnson.com the same evening, he calls the REMOS GXiS a “Mercedes of LSA”. Together, we came up with a new word: “Smartification”! Why? The REMOS GXiS is not only a pleasure to fly, but also contains many unique features that enhance safety and make flying even more comfortable. SMARTStart for instance makes it possible to start-up the engine with only one push to a button. The fuel injected Rotax 912 iS Sport is very efficient and reliable. All the new avionics make you feel like flying an airliner. All this, and many more features, we think is worth to be called “smartification in aviation”. 

The following days were just great. We met many customers during the show, talked to pilots who fell in love with our aircraft and visited our business partners, especially the guys from Dynon Avionics. We also welcomed some of America’s and Europe’s most important aviation journalists at our press conference and at the booth. 

This whole week was very exciting for all of us and we’re looking forward to the next EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh next year. 

Oshkosh 2016: USA-Premiere der GXiS und ein neuer Händler

Oshkosh ist das weltgrößte Fly-in – und REMOS war wieder dabei. Zum ersten Mal haben wir die REMOS GXiS in den USA präsentiert. Außerdem haben wir einen neuen Händler.

Das Wichtigste zuerst: Wir haben einen neuen Händler in den USA. David Spano and Tony Sabos von SimplyFLY in Aurora (KARR), in der Nähe von Chicago, unterstützen REMOS ab sofort. Die beiden betreiben eine REMOS-Flotte in ihrer Flugschule, so dass der Schritt zum Händler beinahe schon eine logische Konsequenz war. In den kommenden Tagen werden wir die beiden Fluglehrer und Unternehmer mit ihrer außergewöhnlichen Perspektive auf die Luftfahrt näher vorstellen! 

Bei SimplyFLY hat unser Oskosh-Aufenthalt dann schließlich auch so richtig begonnen: Wir haben den Prototyp der REMOS GXiS, D-EPDC, und eine brandneue REMOS GXNXT, bzw. GXnXES wie sie in den USA genannt wird, nach Aurora bringen lassen, N434GX. Von dort ging es nach Erledigung aller Formalitäten am Freitagnachmittag im Formationsflug zum Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh. 

Den Sonntag haben wir genutzt, um die GXiS einigen internationalen Pressevertretern vorzustellen. Dazu zählte neben einer ausgiebigen Einweisung am Boden selbstverständlich auch ein Flug, was dazu führte, dass wir den Ripon-Fisk-Approach noch mehrfach erfliegen konnten.

Unter ihnen war auch Dan Johnson, ein international anerkannter Kenner der LSA-Branche. In seinem Flugbericht, den er noch am Sonntagabend online auf bydanjohnson.com veröffentlichte, nennt er die REMOS GXiS den “Mercedes of LSA”. Gemeinsam haben wir an diesem Tag ein neues Wort erfunden: “Smartification”! Warum das? Die REMOS GXiS zu fliegen macht nicht nur Spaß, unser Zweisitzer verfügt auch über viele clevere Features, die das Fliegen sicherer und komfortabler machen. Dank SMARTStart zum Beispiel genügt ein Knopfdruck, um den Motor anzulassen. Der Rotax 912 iS Sport ist ausgesprochen sparsam und zuverlässig. Und die topmoderne Avionik lässt so manches Airliner-Cockpit alt aussehen. Und dieses Gesamtpaket, so finden wir, darf man ruhig als “smartification in aviation” bezeichnen. 

Die folgenden Messetage waren einfach nur großartig. Es gab ein Wiedersehen mit vielen treuen Kunden. Wir haben Piloten kennengelernt, die von der REMOS ziemlich beeindruckt waren. Und natürlich haben wir unseren Geschäftspartnern einen Besuch abgestattet, allen voran der Mannschaft von Dynon Avionics. Sowohl auf unserer Pressekonferenz als auch am Stand konnten wir weitere bekannte Luftfahrt-Journalisten begrüßen, denen wir einen ersten detaillierten Eindruck von unserer neuen REMOS GXiS vermittelt konnten. 

Nach einer aufregenden Woche freuen wir uns schon jetzt auf das nächste EAA AirVenture nächstes Jahr!

REMOS GXiS Takes Off for Maiden Mlight

REMOS GXiS startet zum Erstflug

Today, May 26th, 2016, our REMOS GXiS took off for its maiden flight after the ground tests were successfully completed and the required permissions were issued by the authorities. First we did some taxi tests with increasing speed until the nose wheel came up. At 11:20 UTC pilot and engineer Christian Majunke took off for the first flight from the runway in Pasewalk. In total he and Daniel Browne spent about one hour in the air. All values were in the green and the aircraft behaved as expected: Just great like every REMOS does. The full speed range from stall to high speed cruise was flown. 
What will happen next? This first flight marks the kick-off for the flight tests required for the European LSA certification. For this, an excessive flight test campaign has to be accomplished. Christian Majunke: “We will fly the aircraft throughout its entire flight envelope up to the maximum load factors, take off and landing performance, noise tests, spinning, flutter and many more. Plenty of work – let’s go!” 

Heute, am 26. Mai 2016, ist unsere REMOS GXiS in Pasewalk zum ersten Mal geflogen, nachdem alle erforderlichen Tests am Boden erledigt waren und die Behörden die erforderlichen Genehmigungen erteilt hatten. Zuerst haben wir Rollversuche mit immer höherer Geschwindigkeit bis zum Rotieren des Bugrads gemacht. Um 11:20 Uhr UTC war es dann soweit: Ingenieur und Pilot Christian Majunke ist zum Erstflug gestartet. Insgesamt haben er und Daniel Browne heute eine Stunde in der Luft verbracht. Alle Werte waren im grünen Bereich und das Flugzeug flog wie erwartet: Einfach großartig wie jede REMOS. Erflogen wurde der komplette Geschwindigkeitsbereich vom Langsam- bis zum Schnellflug. 
Was passiert als nächstes? Dieser Erstflug war der Auftakt für die angestrebte EASA-Zulassung als LSA. Dafür muss die GXiS umfangreiche Flugversuche absolvieren. Christian Majunke: „Wir werden das Flugzeug in seinem gesamten Flight Envelope bis zu seinen maximal zugelassenen Lastvielfachen bewegen. Dazu gehören auch Start- und Landeversuche, Lärmmessungen, schließlich Trudeltests und der Flatternachweis. Viel zu tun. Auf geht’s!“

REMOS GXiS vor dem Erstflug!

We are expecting the maiden flight of our GXiS. EASA has issued the flight conditions, now we expect the Permit to fly from German Luftfahrt Bundesamt. What else do we need? Good weather. We keep you posted!

Der Erstflug der GXiS steht unmittelbar bevor. Die EASA hat die Flight Conditions ausgestellt, nun brauchen wir noch das Permit to fly vom LBA. Und natürlich gutes Wetter. Wir halten Sie auf dem Laufenden.

AERO 2016: REMOS announces six aircraft sales

AERO 2016: REMOS meldet sechs verkaufte Flugzeuge 

AERO 2016 was a huge success for REMOS: We sold six aircraft during the exhibition at Lake Constance! One of the customers is the flight school UTC, based in Bavaria, Germany. This school has been using REMOS aircraft for training for a long time – now the fleet will be expanded by two new aircraft made by the manufacturer from Pasewalk, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Other regular customers have placed orders, too.

Die AERO war für REMOS ein voller Erfolg! Sechs Flugzeuge wurden während der Messe am Bodensee verkauft. Einer der Kunden ist bayerische Flugschule UTC, die ihre Flotte gleich um zwei neue REMOS-Flugzeuge erweitert. Weitere Stammkunden demonstrierten mit ihren Bestellungen ebenfalls ihr Vertrauen in REMOS.

The REMOS team had a succesful AERO. Here we show you some impressions of four great days in Friedrichshafen. We were celebrating the premiere of the brandnew REMOS GXiS, powered by the Rotax 912 iS Sport. With the GXNXTClub we had another surprise for you.

AERO 2016 has begun and we’re glad to show you some exciting news. Visit us in hall B3 and discover the new REMOS GXiS. It's powered by the Rotax 912 iS Sport with electronic fuel injection and has a new system called SMARTstart – starting up a Rotax 912 iS Sport was never before so easy. This aircraft also comes with a state-of-the-art avionics suite. It’s our prototype for the upcoming EASA LSA certification (Light Sport Aircraft). We also offer the GXiS as an ultralight aircraft with several avionic options. 

REMOS also has unveiled the new GXNXTClub. We made this model for clubs and private pilots who just love flying. It’s equipped with the new Dynon SkyView SE (7 inch), a brandnew avionics suite for VFR-pilots. REMOS offers this aircraft for 99.948 Euro including 19% German VAT (83.990 net price). Our brandnew REMOS GXiS had its first engine run and our new system called SMARTstart works fine. We're so excited to show you this great aircraft at AERO expo next week.

Die REMOS GXiS hatte ihren ersten Motorlauf. SMARTstart funktioniert perfekt, der Motor läuft. Wir sind happy und freuen uns auf die AERO nächste Woche, um Ihnen das Flugzeug zu zeigen.

Eine neue REMOS GNXT am Himmel

A new REMOS GXNXT at the sky

Die REMOS GXNXT mit der Werknummer 440 ist sicher in ihrer Heimat gelandet. Peter Kockerscheidt (Mitte) und Peter Neumann (rechts) holten ihr brandneues Flugzeug Ende März im Werk in Pasewalk ab und flogen in einem vierstündigen Nonstop-Flug nach Erkelenz-Kückhoven im äußersten Westen der Republik. Auf dem UL-Flugplatz – einer der größten seiner Art in ganz Deutschland – ist die D-MPPW übrigens die 25. REMOS. Auf dem Foto übergibt REMOS-Vertriebsleiter Jürgen Rehländer die Schlüssel.

The REMOS GXNXT s/n 440 has landed safely at its home base Erkelenz-Kückhoven. Peter Kockerscheidt (middle) and Peter Neumann (right) picked up their brand-new REMOS at the Pasewalk-based factory end of March. The nonstop-flight to Erkelenz-Kückhoven in the far west of Germany took about four hours. At this ultralight airfield – one of the largest ultralight clubs in Germany is based there – the D-MPPW is REMOS number 25. The picture shows REMOS manager sales Juergen Rehlaender handing over the keys.

Premiere for the REMOS GXiS at AERO

German aircraft manufacturer REMOS will present the next generation of its high-wing composite aircraft REMOS GX at AERO. Europe’s most important General Aviation exhibition will take place in Friedrichshafen from April 20th to 23rd, 2016. The redesigned cowling gives a foretaste of what is to be found underneath – the Rotax 912 iS Sport with electronic fuel injection. The new model named REMOS GXiS also offers state-of-the-art avionics by Dynon and Garmin. With this new version, REMOS is heading towards the European LSA with EASA certification.

Patrick Holland-Moritz verstärkt das REMOS-Team

Patrick Holland-Moritz joins the REMOS-team

Die REMOS AG verstärkt ihr Team: Seit Februar ist Patrick Holland-Moritz für Öffentlichkeitsarbeit und Marketing verantwortlich. Von 2003 bis Ende 2015 arbeitete er als Redakteur bei einer führenden Luftfahrtzeitschrift. Seine Branchenkenntnisse und seine journalistische Erfahrung nutzt er nun, um den Flugzeughersteller aus Pasewalk auf ganzer Linie zu unterstützen.

REMOS strengthens its team: Since February Patrick Holland-Moritz has been responsible for public relations and marketing. From 2003 until the end of 2015 he worked as an editor for a leading aviation magazine. He now uses his knowledge and experience in aviation and journalism to support the Pasewalk-based airplane manufacturer.
