History - From Shed to State of the Art Facility

The history of REMOS started in the early 1990's with experimental ultralight aircraft. In 1997 the prototype of the REMOS G-3 series first took flight marking the launch of a new class of light aircraft.

The following years, ten to twenty aircraft annually left final assembly on the premises of a farm north of Munich. The young company prospered and duly moved into brand new facilities in Pasewalk, Mecklenburg - Western Pommerania, in 2006, which serves as the company's home to date.

The same year, the REMOS G-3 was certified in the United States as Light Sport Aircraft (LSA). Two years later in 2008 it was followed by the new REMOS GX, which featured a fully redesigned wing entirely made of carbonfibre composite material. The current model line-up with the REMOS GXNXT / GXnXES was introduced in 2011, featuring a new avionics suite integrated into an innovative, low weight and compact cockpit panel. In 2016 we introduced the GXiS, the first REMOS with a fuel injected engine.

Right from the start REMOS convinced aircraft owners and pilots worldwide with its aircraft's extraordinary flight characteristics, superior quality and exceptional reliability, which repeatedly found the media's acclaim, amongst others, as "Ultralight Aircraft of the Year 2000" and "Best Brand" in the ultralight category in "Aerokurier's Readers Survey" in 2007.
